Cassini Images |ISS


Cassini ISS images - April 19-23, 2010
The following new images taken by the Imaging Science Subsystem (ISS)
on the Cassini spacecraft are now available:
  • Rings and Janus (Released 19 April 2010)
    Janus, passing between the rings and Cassini, poses for a snapshot taken
    by the spacecraft's narrow-angle camera.
  • Behold Belet (Released 20 April 2010)
    The Cassini spacecraft looks at Belet, a dark region on Saturn's largest moon, Titan.
  • Rhea and Edge-On Rings (Released 21 April 2010)
    From just below the plane of Saturn's rings, the Cassini spacecraft looks
    at the rings edge-on and sees the planet's second largest moon beyond.
  • Mimas' Stretched Shadow (Released 22 April 2010)
    The shadow of Saturn's moon Mimas is elongated across the planet in this
    Cassini spacecraft image.
  • Peekaboo Rhea (Released 23 April 2010)
    Saturn's second largest moon Rhea pops in and out of view behind the planet'
    rings in this image from the Cassini spacecraft, which includes the smaller moon
    Epimetheus.
